Cotton Mill Ends

Camilla Valley Farm Weavers' Supply is pleased to provide a selection of Cotton Mill End yarns for Weavers. We have both natural coloured cotton in 3 thicknesses as well as 2/8 thickness yarns in a number of colours. Mill Ends are more softly spun than the traditional cotton that we carry and will fluff up slightly more after washing. Many weavers like to use them for towels and baby blankets as well as anything that requires a softer feel to it.

Because of their low price, Mill Ends are also good for teaching, sampling and experimenting with new weave structures. Buy several colours and use them to add interesting accent colours to your next project!

Unlike our normal cotton yarns, all sizes and colours of Mill Ends are not always available due to what we can get from our suppliers. Over time the contents of this page will change to indicate what we have for sale at that moment.

Natural Cotton Mill Ends

Natural coloured Mill Ends can be ordered in 4/8, 8/8, 16/8 and 2/8 thicknesses and are shown in the above picture from left to right. The 2/8 and 4/8 sizes are in 1/2 pound cones while the 8/8 and 16/8 sizes come in 1 pound cones.

We are currently out of stock of the Navy Blue, Red and Yellow colours
of 2/8 Mill Ends which are currently unavailable from our supplier. We will
add these back on the website when they become available again.

Note: Canadian standards for naming yarn put the number of plies first which is the opposite to that used in the US. For example in Canada "2/8 Cotton" consists of 2 plies of #8 Cotton which would be described as 8/2 Cotton in the US. Both represent the exact same weight of yarn.
