Notes:
  • The pattern in the book calls for an unspun Icelandic wool called "Plotulopi", not available outside Iceland, which is sold by weight as a one-ply, flat round roll, called a "plate". It is knit using a loose tension with one, two or three plys at a time, depending on how bulky a yarn the knitter wants. This design calls for 3-ply "Plotulopi" and the book recommends substituting Bulki Lopi for the 3-ply. To obtain the proper match of colours and to allow the stranding in the Green Sweater, our yarn kits include the equivalent weight of Lopi Lite and 3 strands can be combined to get the proper weight by doing a test swatch and comparing it to the gauge information in the book.
  • If you would like to order the kit with alternative colours, please specify these in the comment field of your order form.
  • The pattern is not included in the kit but is in the Lopi Pattern Book #26 (pictured at right) which can be ordered seperately. This book includes full instructions for this as well as 24 other designs. To order simply specify it as a separate line item on your order form.
  • The Kit with Needles includes all items shown above in the "Needles Required" section. Addi Turbos are used for the Circular Needles.
