Unlike other loom makers, Leclerc manufactures their own Reeds to ensure the level of quality and to provide a broad selection to support their full range of looms.

Conventional Leclerc Carbon Steel Reeds are available from 6 to 15 dents per inch in lengths from 9 1/2" (24 cm) to 60" (150 cm). In addition, Stainless Steel Reeds, which will not rust, are available from 4 to 25 dents per inch in lengths from 9 1/2" (24 cm) to 120" (305 cm). Carbon Steel Reeds can also be ordered in metric sizes of 2 dents/cm to 6 dents/cm.

All reeds have inside width of 3 1/2" (8.9 cm) and outside width of 4 3/4" (12.1 cm). To simplify the job of finding the proper reed, the charts below are broken into 3 sizes of looms:

NOTE:The reed width refers to the actual usable part of the reed itself and not to the total reed width. The actual width is slightly longer because of the reed support bars at each end. Because Leclerc has manufactured some slighly smaller/larger loom variations, mistaken orders can be avoided by measuring the reed currently in your loom to determine the weaving width.

For Table Looms, Leclerc makes Carbon Steel Reeds in sizes from 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 and 28 dents per inch and rust proof Stainless Steel Reeds in size of 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 18, 20 and 25 dents per inch. All are available in lengths from 9 1/2" (24 cm) to 24" (60 cm). Metric Carbon Steel Reeds (not shown below) can also be ordered in sizes of 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5 and 6 dents/cm.
