Buggiflooer Beanie is the Official Knitting Pattern for the 2023 Shetland Wool Week designed by Wool Week Patron Alison Rendall. Five different Colourways are suggested in the Downloadable Pattern that can be ordered online, each using yarn from a different Shetland Island wool producer. Colourway 3 (J-SHET-BB-3 below) uses Spindrift yarn from Jamieson's of Shetland.
Because the yarn for the other 4 colourways is unavailable or harder to source in North America, we have also produced yarn kits for these using substituted colours from the extensive Jamieson's Spindrift palette. We have tried to match the colours used in the samples with the closest Jamieson shade available in the kits below.
Note that the pattern can be customized by specifying colours from any of the 225 shades of Spindrift wool available. Just specify the 5 alternate shades you wish with each as a separate line order on our Online Order Form.
BONUS: As well as the 5 standard colourways, Gudrun Johnston from "Simply Shetland" has created a special colourway called "Gudrun's Palette" which is pictured below and available for ordering using part number J-SHET-BB-GP.
